External Vacuum Sealer
With these units, the vacuuming product remains outside of the machine. Air is sucked out with a snorkel-like tube. Heat is then applied to seal the bag. It is a simple process really.
External vacuum sealers are more commonly seen in homes rather than industrial settings like restaurants. The suction created by external sealers is almost always not as much as internal chambered sealers. Internal Vacuum Sealer
These are the external vacuum sealer’s bigger brother. This can be found in many homes, as well as industrial settings. With these, the product is placed entirely inside the chamber, and a high power pump sucks out the air. The power of these pumps are always higher than with external vacuum sealers.
When enclosed, the entire chamber becomes vacated. At this point, the heat is applied at the bag is fully sealed. Chambered sealers are advantageous in that no air (at all) is let back inter the bag between the stage of vacuuming and sealing.
